AKA (“we”, “the app”) helps travelers find barrier-free tourism information in Korea. This policy explains what data we handle and why.
1. Data we collect
- Precise location — only when you use “nearby” search or the AI assistant, to find accessible places around you. Sent to our server to run the query; not sold or used for advertising.
- Account info (email, name, Google account ID) — only if you sign in with Google to write a review or contribution. Used to attribute and de-duplicate your contributions.
- Reviews / contributions — accessibility reports, notes, and votes you submit are stored to improve information for other travelers.
- AI assistant input — text you send to the AI assistant (and relevant location context) is processed to generate multilingual inquiry messages and place recommendations.
We do NOT use analytics or advertising SDKs and do NOT track you across apps or websites.
2. How we use data
To provide search, filtering, maps, barrier-free route planning, community reviews, and the AI assistant.
3. Sub-processors
- Render — hosting, USA
- Supabase — database (PostgreSQL)
- Google LLC — sign-in (email / profile)
- Anthropic — AI processing (Claude API), only when you use the AI assistant
- Korea Tourism Organization TourAPI — tourism content source; no personal data is sent to TourAPI
4. International transfer
Our servers are located in the United States. By using the app you consent to processing there.
5. Retention & your rights
You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account and contributions at any time. Revoke location access anytime in your device settings. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Children
AKA is not directed to children under 14.
7. Changes
We will post updates on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
